I bought this product a little hesitant but for $99 I tried it. I received the scope perfectly packaged "new" without any defects, comes in a nice green box with molded foam, sealed plastic bag and protected with plastic caps. The crosshairs on my scope are aligned perfectly. From the other reviews I was thinking this was cheap plastic scope and the lenses were held in with c-clips. The scope has some weight and from what I can see built with glass optics no c-clips all threaded. The pictanny mount works and holds tightly on a choate scope mount. I used a laser bore sightseer and was able to get the scope sighted quickly. I can easily hit tight groups at 100-200yds with clear image. I adjusted the brightness down to min and it works good in low lighting. If the brightness is higher the image gets distorted. The power magnifier and focus could be better but they work just takes a little time to get adjusted. I added the NcStar red dot w/multi reticle using the NcStar mount and it really enhanced the scope for fast target acquisition. I also posted a review for the NcStar red dot. I rate it #1 Price, its a bargain, not cheap plastic I put over 1000 rds of 7.62x39 without any problem #2 Functions decent optics. #3 Looks enhances the look of a tactical rifle. Bottom line: Doesnt have that clarity but for the price? I think NcStar is a good bargain scope with optics that suffice but are not Nikon/Leupold quality. I feel I got bargain for $99 cant complain.

For the money this is an effective scope. Although at higher mags 7-9X your sight picture is mor difficult to focus clearly. The mounting system is very user friendly. Since mounting this scope I have put over 250 rounds downrange and have had no problem maintaining zero.(I zeroed at 50) The eye relief takes a little getting used to compensate for parrelex. Would I buy another of these scopes .....yes Would I recommend this scope to anyone else......yes Although if you are looking for the crystal clear perfect picture then break the bank and get high dollar. For me this was easy to zero (took six shots at 50 yd) I'll keep using it. When I get ready for some high mountain long shoots maybe a different story. This scope is a bargain and will serve my purpose for sometime to come. The one thing I noticed when zeroing you have to make sure to hold the turret ring or else you will adjust for bullet drop at the same time (real easy to see and correct)

I now have 6 of these and can say that I have only had a problem with one of them. The recticals didnt light up. I contacted Amazon and a new one was in the mail the same day, cant say enough about Amazon service but back to the scope. I bought these for the quick release on it as I like being able to switch to iron sights on my M4's quickly. All of the ones I have now hold zero even after taking them on and off the firearms several times. The green and red rectical options work fine for different light situations and the brightness control settings help. I also have 2 of these on Ruger 10/22's and all of them at 100 to 150 yards I can hold a group of about the size of a tennis ball depending on the ammo Im using. I have used these in the field while training thru cold, mud and hot conditions and none of them have failed although I have not put one under water. The quick release on all of them works great after a little adjustment and holds the scopes firmly in place round after round. The overall size of the scopes works well with everything I have mounted them on also and the adjustments are very easy to work with. If one of these doesnt work for you the best thing is that Amazon just takes it back, no questions asked. I will buy another one of these in the future depending if I get what I want for Christmas from my wife. :)
